The Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (AIFT) aims to be a leading research centre on financial technologies and services. We are seeking for passionate and talented Frontend Engineer/ Developer to join our growing team. This team is working on LLM model application focusing on the financial investment area. As a Frontend Engineer, you will work with our backend developers to substantiate our website.

Key Accountabilities
 

• Design and develop user-facing features using modern frontend technologies;
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive web applications;
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs for seamless data flow;
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability;
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to meet business and user requirements;
• Work closely with team members to create robust and scalable solutions;
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualification / Knowledge & Experience
 

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in front-end development;
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js);
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in integrating frontend with backend services;
• Knowledge of SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases;
• Experience with cloud-based development and Linux environments;
• Understanding of web hosting environments and DNS management;
• Ability to learn and keep up with new technology developments;
• Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) applications is a plus;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
