Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in designing and verifying complex hardware systems, embedded hardware design and development
- Proficient in FPGA design and programming (e.g., Verilog, VHDL), C/C++, Python etc.
- Capable of delivering top quality C/C++ code in a real-time embedded environment.
- Proficient in developing and debugging FPGA code to interface with various sensor devices such as image sensor, camera interfaces and image processing techniques
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, peripheral devices, and embedded firmware development
- Experience on AMD Zynq development environment, image processing and multi-view geometry algorithm is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, strong communication and collaboration skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Design, develop and verify embedded system platform for machine version product using FPGAs, microcontrollers and/or other specialized components
- Develop, enhance and debug new and existing FPGA and C/C++ code for machine vision applications.
- Optimize machine vision algorithms for better and more efficient implementation.
- Integrate hardware components with software systems to create end-to-end solutions
- Perform testing, hands-on hardware bring-up and system debugging, troubleshooting of hardware and firmware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify and improve system design
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in embedded hardware and provide recommendations for improvements
