Who are we: 
FLAIR is Hong Kongs leading R&D center for AI & Robotics in manufacturing that collaborates with renowned global industrial partners. FLAIRs vision is to establish long-term innovation in Hong Kong. Therefore, research activities aim to commercialize the developed technology via e.g. Spin-offs. One of FLAIR's technology platforms aims to streamline the product creation process in engineering and production to empower engineers to create value using AI. FLAIR has developed a B2B application for CAD engineers and production planners, available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) through the Onshape cloud-CAD system marketplace. Therefore we are looking for a full-stack developer that extends the applications features in backend and frontend.

What you'll do:

• Implement the front-end user interface using your expertise in relevant JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Work on the back-end development using technologies like Node.js, Go, or Python, ensuring seamless integration between the front-end and back-end components.
• Assist in the design and development of user interfaces and front-end components using HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Demonstrate familiarity with client-side rendering, APIs, and data manipulation, as well as understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and users to gather requirements, insights, and needs for the application.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and strong algorithmic skills to develop robust and efficient software solutions.
• Assist with web application deployment and scaling strategies, including familiarity with containerization and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Work with other disciplines like Data Scientists and integrate algorithms and models into the software solutions.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• University degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Creative, open-minded, and proactive personality with a keen interest in software research and development.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Proficient in programming languages like JavaScript, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong front-end skills with experience in JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Understanding of database design and management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases).
• Knowledge of server-side APIs, web services, and RESTful architecture.
• Experience with web application frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Django).
• Familiarity with software design patterns and architectural patterns, as well as software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Experienced with version control systems (e.g., Git) and testing frameworks and techniques (e.g., unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests).
