About Huawei Hong Kong Research Center (HKRC)
Established in 2018, HKRC is a fast-growing international research center that focuses on chipsets, software engineering, AI and theoretical research. For a short span of three years, HKRC saw its staff increase from over 100 members in 2019 to more than 250 in 2022. They come from more than 24 countries and regions, with 48% being PhD holders. 

Having invested over USD52 million on technology cooperation, HKRC places great emphasis on R&D and has a successful track record in this regard. Equipped with well-furnished labs and offices, the research center hosts free tech talks and recreational activities on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Large Scale System Software Architecture design.
• Develop Distributed System Software.
• Responsible for writing, maintain, debug and optimize software design, code, documentation.
• Responsible for code development and unit test development.
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources.
• Good knowledge on communication protocols/library (SPI, I2C, gRPC, gTest etc.)
• Resolve technical problems over hardware and software, research.
• Working with team at different location.
• Willing to work under pressure and travel occasionally.

Qualifications:

• PhD, Master in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas
• At least 4 Years Working Experience on C++/Linux development.
• Strong programming skills in C++ 17 / Java / Linux Shell script
• Solid experience in ARM7/ARM9/CortexA SoC development
• Solid experience of C++ programming development and troubleshooting in embedded system, Linux driver development, Linux Kernel optimization
• Familiar with Linux working environment
• Good in English, Chinese, Mandarin on both written and spoken communication.
• Initiative and drive to complete tasks independently
• Extensive working experience in one of these areas:
• DevOps tool, Cloud-based software, software engineering, compilers, networking, database, operating system, numerical computation, parallel computing

Nice to have:

• Experience in FGPA development, system modelling, simulation, system analysis, RTL and verification.
• Working experiences in security/software quality, software refactoring;
• In depth knowledge in compilation process and compiler technology, such as LLVM or GCC;
