Position Overview:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and manage server and network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure system security through regular updates, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and system integrations.
• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of server and network architecture, including cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Experience with configuring Fortinet Firewall and Cisco networking switches.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
