This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage work contractors for project implementation and provide professional advice on technical and quality issues on control systems of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) works
• Identify design and construction issues and liaise with maintenance and operation teams to provide effective solutions
• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation on quality and progress of works
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations and completed on time
• Ensure new engineering works are in compliance with the latest design codes and practices, the Authority’s requirements and relevant statutory requirements
• Perform shift duties including overnight shift if required

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 6 years’ working experience in design and implementation of sizable mechanical systems
• Professional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is preferred
• Solid experience in airport works and/or large scale project implementation under a live operating environment is an advantage
• Sound technical knowledge on the design and implementation of BHS or Material Handling System (MHS) is preferred
• Result-oriented and able to work independently with strong communication and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.  Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
